Paul Izzo and Jim Russo, friends for over twenty years, grew up in Rhode Island in the glory days of Boston sports. They recall the great Celtics teams of the 60's, 70's and 80's, the Impossible Dream season of 1967, watching the Big Bad Bruins on Channel 38, and of course, the Boston/Bay State/New England Patriots, a team that has been an endless source of entertainment for four decades. In 1991, the duo created SPORTSNUTS, a cable tv talk show now in its 15th season. In 1994 and 1996, SPORTSNUTS won the Hometown Video Award for best talk show in the nation. From 1998-2001, Paul wrote a twice-weekly column about the Red Sox called Beyond the Box Score for Masslive.com.
